HR Manager

Moore-Talent Solutions is looking to hire an HR Manager/Sr. HR Generalist to help lead various companies. This is a great opportunity for someone to take ownership of all policies and procedures across the board. A true generalist role with part-time support. This is a direct hire (no recruiter).
Construction and/or manufacturing experience within the constructions industry is a must.
Job Description, but not limited to:
  • Update handbook as necessary for all separate companies
  • Create PTO policies that are in compliance with state laws
  • Enroll, update changes, and terminate benefits across all companies
  • Work closely with payroll department to ensure accuracy
  • Payroll and carrier - checks and balances, reconcile any payroll deduction errors
  • Monthly insurance payments and tracking for multiple carriers for all companies
  • Working with broker in regard to plan document renewals
  • Open enrollment roll-out for all different carriers with varying renewal dates
  • Communicate with Broker on carrier contract changes in regard to coverage and premium costs
  • Provide overall benefit support to approximately 250-300 employees
  • Process Cobra packages through 3rd party vendor
  • HRIS usage for on-boarding and employee self-service purposes
  • Implement performance review documentation, structure, and workflow
  • Conduct employment verification and letter creation
  • Collect EEOC information and compile for multiple Bid needs
  • Overall recruiting – posting, phone screening, interviewing, and hiring manager assistance
  • Pre-on-boarding paperwork initiation
  • Submit background, motor vehicle, and drug screen requests
  • Ordering of professional office signs or high-level office needs
  • Provide support to approximately 250 employees in varying states
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems (current system is very easy to use)
  • Create disciplinary process and documentation
Candidate will have:
  • Ability to give owners advice in regard to overall policies and procedures, benefits, labor and state laws
  • Will have the confidence in being hands on and apart of all aspects HR
  • Office Manager experience to help oversee office staff
  • Good follow through and time management skills
Further Requirements and Preferences:
SPHR or PHR a plus!
9+ HR Experience required. min of 2 as a HR Manager
Experience in office management a plus
Construction background preferred
Union understanding, fringe and benefit knowledge, a plus but not mandatory
Interpersonal, decision-making, organizational, leadership, and speaking skills; ability to use human resource management software
